This focus aligned with the post-2017 wave of interest in survival show contestants, allowing Oui Entertainment to secure early signings like actor Jo Sung-wook, a participant in the program. The company's headquarters are situated in The We Building at 20 Buk-ro 15-gil, Mapo-gu, , , a location that supports its operations in and production.

Specializing in artists emerging from survival audition programs like , OUI Entertainment nurtures a select roster of talents, emphasizing multifaceted development that allows singers to pursue and vice versa, thereby positioning itself as a bridge between the music and sectors of the Korean entertainment industry. As of 2025, the agency oversees around 14 active talents, focusing on quality over quantity to build sustainable careers through targeted promotions and collaborations. Structurally, OUI Entertainment functions without major subsidiaries or affiliations to larger conglomerates, relying on an agile model that prioritizes digital content creation—such as music videos and behind-the-scenes footage on —and partnerships with streaming platforms to enhance global visibility and revenue streams for its artists. This approach aligns with founder Wee Myung-hee's vision for integrated entertainment services that combine creative production and management under one roof.

History

Inception and early signings (2017–2019)

Oui Entertainment was established in 2017 by Wee Myung-hee, a veteran in the Korean entertainment industry with prior roles in music management and production at firms including Shinchon Music, Pan Entertainment, and G&G Production. The company's inception occurred amid a highly competitive and entertainment landscape dominated by major agencies, requiring Oui to focus on strategic trainee development and selective talent acquisition to build its foundation. Early efforts centered on scouting and signing promising individuals, particularly from survival programs, to form a roster blending musical and acting talents. In its launch year, Oui Entertainment made its first notable signing with actor Jo Sung-wook, a trainee who participated in Mnet's Produce 101 Season 2. Jo, who had joined the agency shortly before the show aired in April 2017, gained visibility during the program despite his elimination, becoming the first Produce 101 Season 2 contestant to secure an advertising deal post-elimination through Oui's management. The agency also expressed interest in other Produce 101 Season 2 contestants, signing talents like Kim Dong-han and Jang Dae-hyeon as trainees, positioning them for potential group activities while navigating the post-show project group formations such as JBJ and Rainz. Concurrently, Oui expanded into acting management by signing Seol In-ah in early 2017, supporting her roles in dramas like JTBC's Strong Woman Do Bong-soon. By 2018, following the disbandment of JBJ, Oui shifted focus to solo preparations for , who debuted with the mini-album D-Day on June 19, underlining the agency's emphasis on individualized artist development amid limited resources. Seol In-ah continued building her acting career under Oui, appearing in projects that highlighted the company's dual-track approach to and . In 2019, after Rainz's dissolution, Jang Dae-hyeon returned to Oui for solo preparations, releasing his single album on August 24, marking another step in the agency's -to-solo pipeline. That year also saw brief involvement from Jang Seong-sik (later known as Teo), who trained under Oui before departing for another agency. Internal training programs intensified, grooming a pool of talents like the pre-debut OUIBOYS for future group endeavors, as Oui worked to establish production infrastructure in a market saturated with established labels.

Expansion and recent developments (2020–2025)

In 2020, Oui Entertainment marked a significant milestone with the debut of its first boy group, WEi, on October 5, featuring the mini-album Identity: First Sight. The group, comprising Jang Dae-hyeon, , Yoo Yong-ha, Kim Yo-han, Kang Seok-hwa, and Kim Jun-seo, built on the agency's strategy of signing talents from survival shows like . Concurrently, the agency signed Kim Yo-han, the former leader of disbanded group X1, integrating him into WEi while supporting his solo endeavors, including his single "No More" released in August. From 2021 to 2022, Oui Entertainment expanded its musical offerings with the launch of the band CraXilver on June 28, 2022, via their debut mini-album Make a Dash, though the group disbanded by 2023 amid limited activity. WEi followed up with releases like the mini-albums IDENTITY: Challenge in February 2021 and IDENTITY: Action in June 2021, alongside Love Pt.1: First Love in March 2022, demonstrating sustained group momentum despite members' individual schedules. The agency also broadened its acting division by signing Choi Seunghun in 2022, a former known from dramas like The Penthouse, to bolster its roster in television and film. Between 2023 and 2024, Oui Entertainment focused on diversifying its acting talent, signing Yoon Ga-i in 2023, who gained recognition for roles in and , and Nam Dan-woo (formerly Jeon Ho-young from ) also in 2023, transitioning him to acting projects. WEi entered a hiatus period, with members pursuing solo activities; for instance, Kim Yo-han starred in dramas like and released solo music, while others engaged in variety shows and personal endeavors. The agency signed former member Kim So-won in late 2022 for acting pursuits, including her role in The Witch Store Reopening, though she departed in August 2024 upon contract expiration, allowing her to explore independent opportunities. In 2025, WEi resumed activities with the seventh EP The Feelings on January 15, marking their return after an extended break, though Kim Yo-han sat out promotions due to acting commitments. The group followed with their eighth mini-album Wonderland on October 29, featuring the title track "HOME"; Kim Yo-han returned for the promotions while Kim Jun-seo sat out due to health reasons, forming a five-member lineup to celebrate fan support amid lineup adjustments. Kim Yo-han further expanded his acting profile with the lead role in the romantic drama The 4th Love Revolution, set to premiere on November 13 on Wavve. Throughout this period, faced fan criticisms regarding promotion, including scheduling conflicts from members' solo projects leading to infrequent comebacks and uneven group visibility, as highlighted in online discussions and petitions. Oui Entertainment addressed these concerns through official statements, such as announcements clarifying absences (e.g., Kim Yo-han's 2025 scheduling) and committing to balanced activities, emphasizing the agency's efforts to support both group and individual growth.

Current Roster

Musical artists

OUI Entertainment's current musical roster is anchored by the boy group WEi, which debuted in 2020 and remains active under the agency as of November 2025. The six-member group consists of Jang Dae-hyeon, Kim Dong-han, Yoo Yong-ha, Kim Yo-han, Kang Seok-hwa, and Kim Jun-seo, with members having prior experience from survival shows like Produce 101 Season 2, Produce X 101, and temporary groups such as X1, JBJ, and 1THE9. WEi released its eighth mini-album Feelings in January 2025, marking a return after a hiatus, though member Kim Yo-han paused promotions for acting commitments, and Jang Dae-hyeon enlisted for mandatory military service at the end of 2024. In addition to group activities, OUI manages solo endeavors for WEi members, including Kim Dong-han and Kim Yo-han, who pursue music releases and performances alongside their group commitments. Kim Dong-han, a former JBJ member, has focused on solo music and variety appearances, while Kim Yo-han, known from X1, balances singing with acting. The agency continues to support these artists through promotions and new projects, emphasizing their development from survival program alumni.

Actors and actresses

OUI Entertainment's current acting roster includes a mix of dedicated actors and multi-talented idols from its musical lineup, focusing on emerging and established performers as of November 2025. Kim I-on (also known as Kim Yi-on) has been with OUI since earlier years, appearing in supporting roles in dramas and films, contributing to the agency's acting division. Choi Seung-hun joined in 2022 and has built a presence through roles in independent films and web dramas, showcasing versatility in character-driven narratives. Yoon Ga-i signed with OUI in 2023, gaining attention for her debut in youth-oriented series and modeling work, aligning with the agency's strategy to nurture young actors. Nam Dan-woo was affiliated until the end of 2024, but as of 2025, his status is independent following contract expiration. Several members also engage in under OUI's management. Kim Yo-han has expanded into leading roles, starring as a heartthrob in the 2025 Wavve drama LOVE.exe and appearing in series like The 4th Love Revolution. Kim Dong-han made his screen debut in the 2025 web drama Replay, blending his music career with opportunities. Kim Jun-seo, despite a temporary hiatus from group activities in May 2025 for personal reasons and rumored participation in survival shows, continues pursuits. This roster reflects OUI's approach to integrating music and acting talents, supporting cross-disciplinary careers within the K-entertainment industry.

Former Roster

Musical artists

Oui Entertainment's former musical artists primarily consisted of early trainees and short-term project groups, reflecting the agency's initial forays into the music industry during its formative years. These artists' tenures were marked by developmental phases rather than extensive commercial releases, with departures often tied to strategic shifts in the agency's focus. Jo Sung-wook joined Oui Entertainment as a trainee in 2017, participating in the survival program Produce 101 Season 2 where he ranked 91st and was eliminated early. Initially positioned as an early soloist prospect, he transitioned toward acting activities under the agency but departed in 2021 to pursue an independent career. Teo (real name Jang Seong-sik) was signed as a in 2017 and became part of the pre-debut boy group OUIBOYS, performing in early showcases such as the 2017 track "Hug Me." His tenure lasted until 2018, after which he left the agency to join and debut with the group DKB in 2019. CraXilver, a five-member project , was formed under Oui Entertainment in late 2021 and debuted on June 28, 2022, with the mini-album Make a Dash, blending and elements. The group's exclusive contract was terminated in December 2022, leading to its effective disbandment by early 2023 as a short-lived initiative. Kim So-won, known professionally as Sowon and former leader of —which entered an indefinite hiatus in 2021—signed with Oui Entertainment in November 2022 following the end of her previous contract. Her time with the agency concluded on August 8, 2024, through a mutual agreement upon contract expiration, allowing her to explore new opportunities post-group activities. Overall, departures from Oui Entertainment's musical roster frequently stemmed from contract expirations, the completion of project-based engagements, or individual career pivots, which prompted the agency to redirect resources toward established acts like WEi during transitional periods.

Actors and actresses

Seol In-ah joined Oui Entertainment in 2017 as one of its earliest acting talents, contributing significantly to the agency's initial foray into the acting management sector. During her tenure, she gained prominence through supporting roles in youth dramas, most notably portraying Hong Nam-joo, the girlfriend of the lead character, in the KBS2 series , which highlighted her ability to depict relatable high school dynamics and helped elevate her visibility in the industry. Her performances in subsequent projects, such as guest appearances in and The Flower in Prison, further showcased her versatility in ensemble casts, aiding Oui's reputation for nurturing emerging actors amid its primary focus on music artists. In April 2022, following the expiration of her contract, Seol In-ah departed Oui Entertainment and signed with Gold Medalist, where she continued to build her career with lead roles in hits like and , transitioning to more prominent positions in major productions. Jo Sung-wook, a former trainee who appeared on Mnet's Produce 101 Season 2 in 2017, was managed by Oui Entertainment from that year until 2021, during which he shifted his focus to acting as per his original aspirations. Under Oui, he took on minor roles in television dramas and theater, building foundational experience that aligned with the agency's efforts to diversify beyond music into performing arts. His time at Oui marked an early example of the label supporting multi-talented individuals from survival show backgrounds, though his contributions remained modest in scale compared to music promotions. After leaving in 2021, Jo Sung-wook pursued independent acting opportunities, appearing in supporting capacities in series like The Witch's Diner and stage plays, without affiliation to a major agency as of 2025. Kim So-won, formerly known as Sowon of , signed with Oui Entertainment in November 2022 specifically to advance her acting career under the stage name Kim So-won, bringing established idol recognition to the agency's acting roster. Her tenure, lasting until August 2024, included the lead role in the My Chilling Roommate (2022) and a supporting role in the series Who Is She! (2024–2025), along with variety appearances. This period underscored Oui's strategy of signing high-profile former idols for acting, enhancing its visibility in broadcasting networks. Following the mutual termination of her contract in 2024, Kim So-won briefly operated independently before signing with HAKY Entertainment in September 2025, where she prepared for projects like her debut fan meeting and continued acting pursuits. These departures reflect a broader trend among Oui's actors and actresses seeking opportunities at larger or specialized agencies better suited to high-profile careers, a pattern evident since the agency's early years. Seol In-ah and Kim So-won's exits, in particular, highlighted the challenges of retaining talent as Oui prioritized music amid industry consolidation. By 2025, the acting division had not seen major returns from former members, with the roster leaning toward new or music-adjacent signings rather than re-attracting established .
