Shweta Sharda (Hindi: श्वेता शार्दा; born 24 May 2001) is an Indian actress, model, dancer and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Universe India 2023.[1][2] She represented India at the Miss Universe 2023 pageant held in El Salvador on 18 November 2023, and placed in the Top 20.

Early life and career
[edit]Sharda works as a model and dancer. She moved to Mumbai at the age of 16 to pursue her dream of becoming a professional dancer. She has appeared in several reality shows, including Dance India Dance, Dance Deewane, and Dance+. She was also a choreographer on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10.[3] Sharda is a self-taught dancer and is known for her versatility and technical skills. She is also a choreographer and has choreographed several dance routines for television shows and music videos.[4][5]
Sharda recently featured in the music video of the song "Mast Aankhein" by Jubin Nautiyal and Tulsi Kumar opposite Bollywood actor Shantanu Maheshwari.[6]

[edit]On 16 August 2023, Sharda was confirmed as one of the 16 official contestants for the Miss Diva 2023 competition.[7]
During the competition, Sharda won the following awards:[8]

- Top 6 – Miss Rampwalk
At the grand finale held on 28 August 2023 at The LaLit, Mumbai, Sharda was crowned by outgoing Miss Diva Universe 2022, Divita Rai as Miss Diva Universe 2023.[9]

Shweta Sharda (born 24 May 2000) is an Indian actress, model, dancer, choreographer, and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Liva Miss Diva Universe 2023 on 28 August 2023, earning her the right to represent India at the 72nd Miss Universe pageant in San Salvador, El Salvador, where she advanced to the top 20.[1][2][3] Born and raised in Chandigarh by a single mother, Shweta holds a bachelor's degree from Indira Gandhi National Open University and moved to Mumbai at the age of 16 to pursue a career in modeling and entertainment.[1]
Shweta began her professional journey as a dancer, appearing as a contestant on reality television shows such as Dance India Dance, Dance Deewane, and Dance Plus, and later serving as a choreographer on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.[1] She transitioned into acting with lead roles in music videos, including Ranjha Tere Naal (2021) opposite Nikhita Gandhi, Coco (2021) with Sukh-E Muzical Doctorz, and High Hukku (2023) alongside King and Nikhita Gandhi.[4] At the Miss Diva 2023 event, she also won the sub-titles of Miss Body Beautiful and Miss Talented, highlighting her multifaceted talents in fitness and performance.[1]
