Following their debut, the group promoted "Q&A" on major music programs such as , where they performed their debut stage, and participated in fan engagement events to build their fanbase. In May 2019, Cherry Bullet expanded internationally with a showcase at KCON , performing tracks like "Q&A" and "" to introduce themselves to Japanese audiences. On May 22, 2019, they released their second single album Love Adventure, which contained three tracks led by the title song "Really Really," a bubbly number that continued their cute and energetic theme. Promotions for Love Adventure included additional music show appearances, though the group faced challenges with limited visibility and low charting positions on major platforms like , where "Really Really" garnered under 320,000 unique listeners. The group's early momentum was disrupted on December 13, 2019, when FNC Entertainment announced the departure of members Mirae, Kokoro, and Linlin due to personal reasons, terminating their exclusive contracts and reducing Cherry Bullet to seven members. This lineup change came amid internal agency adjustments at FNC, which had been struggling with the promotion of multiple acts and faced criticism for inadequate support for rookie groups. In 2020, Cherry Bullet shifted to digital releases to maintain activity, starting with the single "Hands Up" on February 11, a high-energy track that aimed to revitalize their image but similarly struggled with chart performance, peaking outside the top tiers on domestic platforms. On August 6, 2020, the group released their second digital single, "Aloha Oe," featuring a lighthearted tropical theme to sustain momentum amid ongoing challenges. The title track, "Love In Space," highlighted the members' evolving synergy with cosmic imagery and confident choreography, reflecting the group's growth in self-expression after lineup adjustments. The release was accompanied by concept photos in "Fascinate" and "Ethereal" versions, underscoring a shift toward sophisticated visuals. The group continued their momentum into 2023 with the release of their third , Cherry Dash, on March 7. Led by the energetic title track "P.O.W! (Play On the World)," the EP incorporated bold, empowering themes with dynamic production, positioning Cherry Bullet as a more assertive act in the competitive landscape.
