2012: Career beginnings
Isac Elliot's musical journey began in childhood, with early involvement in Helsinki's Cantores Minores boys' choir, which he joined at the age of six in 2006. This experience provided foundational training in vocal performance and stage presence. By age nine, around 2009, he started gaining professional stage experience through roles in musicals at the Svenska Teatern in Helsinki, including Cabaret and later Kristina från Duvemåla. These performances honed his acting and singing skills in a theatrical setting.[7][8] In 2012, at the age of 11, Elliot marked a transition toward pop music by recording an experimental demo with his father, Fredrik "Fredi" Lundén, a musician from the band Capital Beat. This collaboration represented his initial foray into original songwriting and production outside classical choir work. That same year, his cover of "Pop Goes My Heart" was featured in the end credits of the Finnish family film Ella ja kaverit (Ella and Friends), marking his first notable exposure in the entertainment industry.[7][9] These early endeavors in 2012 laid the groundwork for Elliot's signing with Sony Music Finland shortly thereafter, positioning him for a professional pop career. His choir and theater background, combined with the film's soundtrack contribution, showcased his versatility as a young performer blending classical roots with contemporary aspirations.[8]2013–present: Wake Up World and Follow Me
Elliot's breakthrough came with his debut single "New Way Home," released on February 14, 2013, which topped the Finnish Singles Chart and gained popularity across Scandinavia.[10] This success led to the release of his debut studio album, Wake Up World, on May 24, 2013, produced by Joonas Angeria under Sony Music Entertainment Finland.[11] The album, featuring tracks like "First Kiss" and "No 1" (featuring Johnel), peaked at number one on the Finnish Albums Chart and marked Elliot's establishment as a teen pop sensation in Finland and Norway.[12] Building on this momentum, Elliot released his second studio album, Follow Me, on November 7, 2014.[13] The record, including singles such as "Tired of Missing You" and "Just Can't Let Her Go," achieved commercial success, reaching number six on the Finnish Albums Chart and performing well in Norway.[12] It showcased a maturing pop sound with influences from dance and electronic elements, further solidifying his fanbase in the Nordic region. In the following years, Elliot expanded internationally, appearing on NBC's Today Show in 2016 to perform "What About Me" for an audience of five million viewers, followed by a two-week U.S. tour across cities like Florida.[12] He released his third album, Faith, on December 26, 2017—his 17th birthday—which included collaborations like "Beast" with Tungevaag & Raaban, achieved gold certification in Finland, Sweden, and Norway on its release day, and peaked on Finnish charts.[14][15] In 2017, he issued an EP with rapper Mikael Gabriel, featuring hits that topped Spotify playlists in Finland.[10] After a period of growth and performances at European festivals, Elliot transitioned to Finnish-language music with his fourth album, Kävi Miten Kävi, released on June 2, 2023, under Def Jam Recordings Finland. This debut in his native language debuted at number one on the Finnish Albums Chart, highlighting tracks like the title song, multi-platinum singles "20min" (feat. william & Cledos) and "Makso Mitä Makso", and collaborations such as "Kaks" with ibe.[16][17] His fifth album, Vanhasta Uuteen, followed on March 28, 2025, also topping the Finnish charts with singles including "Vanhasta Uuteen" and "Ai Että."[18] These releases reflect Elliot's evolution toward domestic audiences while maintaining his pop roots, with ongoing festival appearances in Finland.[10]Personal life
Elliot was born in Kauniainen, Finland, as the eldest child of musician Fredrik Lundén, lead singer of the band The Capital Beat, and Linda Hemming. He has a younger sister named Ava Lundén.[1] He grew up in the Swedish-speaking community and is bilingual in Swedish and Finnish.Discography
Studio albums
Isac Elliot's discography includes five studio albums, marking his evolution from English-language pop aimed at international audiences to Finnish-focused releases reflecting his heritage. His early work emphasized upbeat, youthful anthems, while later albums incorporate more mature themes and collaborations. His debut album, Wake Up World, was released on 24 May 2013 through Sony Music and produced by Joonas Angeria. Consisting of 10 tracks entirely in English, it showcased Elliot's dance-pop style with singles like "New Way Home," which propelled his breakthrough. The album debuted at number one on the Finnish Albums Chart, where it held the top spot for five weeks, and peaked at number four in Norway; it was certified gold in Finland for sales exceeding 10,000 units.[19][20][7] Follow Me, Elliot's second studio album, arrived on 7 November 2014, also via Sony Music. This 8-track release continued his pop sound with influences from R&B and electronic elements, featuring songs such as "Tired of Missing You" and "Parachute." Recorded across Helsinki, London, Stockholm, and Los Angeles, it peaked at number six on the Finnish Albums Chart, spending 16 weeks in the top 50, and reached number 10 in Norway. The album solidified his regional popularity, with chart success in Scandinavia.[21][22][12] In 2017, FAITH marked a transitional phase, released on 26 December—Elliot's 17th birthday—under Sony Music. The 11-track album blended pop with EDM, highlighted by collaborations including "Beast" with Norwegian producers Tungevaag & Raaban. Promoted via a series of five monthly singles from September to December, it peaked at number 20 on the Finnish Albums Chart. Tracks like "SHE" and "I Wrote a Song for You" emphasized personal growth and relationships. It achieved gold certification in Finland and Norway on its release day.[15] Elliot's fourth album, Kävi miten kävi, represented his first full foray into Finnish-language music, released on 2 June 2023. This 13-track project explored themes of love, resilience, and self-reflection through introspective pop, with standout singles like the title track. It debuted at number one on the Finnish Albums Chart and has charted for over 120 weeks, demonstrating sustained commercial impact.[23][17][24] His most recent release, Vanhasta uuteen, came out on 28 March 2025 via Warner Music Finland. Comprising 13 tracks in Finnish, it builds on his domestic success with energetic pop anthems and features like "Ehkä se siitä" and "Otan kii" (featuring Miriam Bryant). The album topped the Finnish Albums Chart upon release, holding the number-one position for multiple weeks and charting for at least 24 weeks.[4][25][26]| Album | Release date | Label | Peak chart position (Finland) | Tracks |

Extended plays
Isac Elliot has released three extended plays, marking key phases in his early career transition from debut albums to more experimental and collaborative works. These EPs showcase his evolving pop sound, incorporating electronic elements, remixes, and genre blends, while building on his breakthrough singles. His debut extended play, Dream Big, was released on October 25, 2013, by Sony Music Entertainment Finland.[27] The EP features four tracks, including the title song "Dream Big" and extended and remixed versions of his earlier hit "New Way Home," emphasizing upbeat, motivational pop with dance influences. It served as a companion to his debut album Wake Up World, extending its thematic focus on ambition and youth. Following a period of full-length albums, Elliot issued A Little More on July 8, 2016, also through Sony Music Entertainment Finland.[28] This six-track EP explores introspective themes of relationships and self-worth, with songs like "What About Me" and "Not for Nothing" highlighting a more mature vocal style and subtle R&B infusions. It peaked at number 20 on the Norwegian Albums Chart, marking his continued international reach.[29] In 2017, Elliot collaborated with Finnish rapper Mikael Gabriel on the joint EP Mikael Gabriel x Isac Elliot, released February 2, 2017, under Sony Music. The five-track project fuses pop with hip-hop, featuring tracks such as "Ring Ring Ring" and "Rullaan," and represents Elliot's venture into bilingual and cross-genre territory, primarily in Finnish. This EP did not achieve significant chart success but underscored his adaptability in the Nordic music scene.Singles
Isac Elliot's singles discography spans over a decade, beginning with his debut release in 2013 and evolving from English-language teen pop to Finnish contemporary hits with electronic and urban influences. His early singles, tied to albums like Wake Up World (2013) and Follow Me (2014), achieved commercial success in Finland and neighboring markets, establishing him as a prominent young artist. Later releases, particularly after 2020, reflect a shift toward bilingual content and collaborations, often topping or entering the top 10 on Finnish charts via streaming platforms. Notable achievements include multiple number-one singles on the Finnish Singles Chart and Billboard's Finland Songs chart, with over 20 lead singles and several featured appearances to date.[30][31] His breakthrough single "New Way Home," released on February 14, 2013, marked his entry into the music industry at age 12 and peaked at number one on the Official Finnish Singles Chart while reaching number 14 in Norway.[31][32] Follow-up singles like "First Kiss" (May 31, 2013) and "Tired of Missing You" (October 10, 2014) supported his initial albums, contributing to his early chart momentum and international exposure, including performances in Europe.[33][34] In the mid-2010s, tracks such as "Save a Girl" (2015) and "What About Me" (May 23, 2016) expanded his style, with the latter earning U.S. television airplay on NBC's Today show.[35] From 2017 onward, Elliot's singles like "SHE" (May 5, 2017), "EYES SHUT" (October 6, 2017), and "Mouth to Mouth" (December 1, 2017) aligned with his EP FAITH, emphasizing emotional pop themes.[30] His transition to Finnish-language music in the 2020s yielded hits including "Otan Kii" (August 23, 2024) and recent 2025 releases such as "Ehkä Se Siitä" (January 31), "Ai Että" (September 5)—which debuted at number one on the Billboard Finland Songs chart—and "Sata Enkelii" (July 25).[36] These tracks have dominated domestic streaming charts, underscoring his enduring popularity in Finland.[30][37] Elliot has also contributed to several featured singles, blending his vocals with international and domestic artists. His appearance on "Beast" by Tungevaag & Raaban (September 9, 2016) reached number 7 on the Norwegian Singles Chart, marking one of his strongest cross-border successes.[38] Other collaborations include "Lipstick" featuring Tyga (August 14, 2015), which added hip-hop flair, and more recent ones like "Stadi (Alicia)" with OLGA (June 14, 2024) and "Ms. Bad" featuring KERZA (July 11, 2025), reflecting his versatility in urban pop.[30]| Year | Title | Album/EP |
