Early Live Performances
Sabrina Carpenter gained initial prominence as an actress and singer through her starring role as Maya Hart on the Disney Channel series Girl Meets World, which premiered in 2014 and ran until 2017. This exposure introduced her to a young audience and laid the foundation for her music career, blending acting with musical endeavors during her early teenage years.[13] Her debut single, "Can't Blame a Girl for Trying," released in March 2014 as the lead track from her self-titled EP, marked her entry into recording music and was performed at various promotional events tied to her Disney affiliation. These included small-scale showcases like a mini-concert at the Disney Studio lot in Burbank, California, in April 2014, where she debuted the song live to build early buzz. The single's release aligned with her growing visibility on the network, helping to establish her as an emerging teen pop artist.[14] Early live appearances expanded to Disney-hosted concerts and television slots, such as performances at the Radio Disney Music Awards in 2015 and 2016, where she showcased tracks from her debut album Eyes Wide Open (2015). At the 2015 ceremony, she delivered a medley of "We'll Be the Stars" and "Eyes Wide Open," earning the award for Best Crush Song for her debut single; in 2016, she performed "Smoke and Fire" from her upcoming album. She also appeared on morning shows like Good Morning America in June 2015, singing selections from Eyes Wide Open, and The Today Show in November 2016, debuting "Thumbs." These events, along with award ceremonies and promotional spots, numbered approximately 20–30 in total from 2014 to 2016, emphasizing fan engagement through meet-and-greets and intimate venues to cultivate her initial fanbase without a structured tour.[15][16][17] Tracks like "We'll Be the Stars" and "Eyes Wide Open" were staples in these pre-album promotion settings, often featured at fan meet-and-greets and smaller venues such as fairgrounds and holiday specials, including the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in 2014. These performances focused on acoustic and stripped-down arrangements to highlight her vocal abilities and connect personally with audiences, transitioning her from Disney acting roles to live music stages. This phase culminated in her first headlining tour, the Evolution Tour, in late 2016.[18]Headlining Tours Summary
Sabrina Carpenter has embarked on five headlining concert tours throughout her career, beginning with the Evolution Tour in 2016–2017, which consisted of 42 shows, followed by The De-Tour in 2017 with 33 shows, the Singular Tour in 2019 featuring 22 shows, the Emails I Can't Send Tour in 2022–2023 comprising 80 shows, and the ongoing Short n' Sweet Tour in 2024–2025 with approximately 75 shows scheduled as of November 2025.[19][20] These tours have collectively accounted for approximately 250 headlining performances across North America, Europe, Asia, and South America, building on her foundational early live performances that provided initial stage experience. Each headlining tour has been tied to a specific point in Carpenter's discography, with the Evolution Tour and The De-Tour supporting her second studio album Evolution (2016), the Singular Tour promoting her third and fourth albums Singular: Act I (2018) and Singular: Act II (2019), the Emails I Can't Send Tour aligned with her fifth album Emails I Can't Send (2022), and the Short n' Sweet Tour backing her sixth album Short n' Sweet (2024).[21] Key milestones include the Evolution Tour marking Carpenter's first international expansion with a European leg, the Emails I Can't Send Tour representing her largest-scale effort to date by spanning four continents, and the Short n' Sweet Tour, which remains ongoing as of November 2025 with additional North American dates scheduled through the end of the year.[22]Evolution Tour (2016–2017)

Her sister, Sarah Carpenter, contributed backing vocals, enhancing family-oriented moments like shared bridges in songs such as "Hold Tight." The production team played a crucial role in executing the tour's visual and logistical elements, with tour manager Neil Rinden overseeing overall operations and production manager Eric Gerloff coordinating the technical aspects. Lighting designer and director Kevin Labitan, from Wasted Potential, crafted immersive effects programmed by a team including Chad Fellers-Doughty and Marcus Jessup, while video director Brianna Osorio handled projections to complement the pop-rock aesthetic.
