TNA+ is a professional wrestling video streaming service that launched on May 1, 2019. It is owned and operated by Anthem Sports & Entertainment, the parent company of professional wrestling promotion Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA).

Key Information

Originally known as Impact Plus, and succeeding the previous Global Wrestling Network (GWN) service, TNA+ offers library content and exclusive live monthly premium events.[1] Since its 2024 relaunch as TNA+, the platform has utilized the technology and ecosystem of Endeavor Streaming.

History

[edit]

Background

[edit]

The first streaming media service to offer Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) content on-demand was the TNA Video Vault, which launched in 2009.[2] The service changed its name to 'TNA On Demand' in 2010 and continued until its shuttering around early 2013.[citation needed]

The company previously operated the "TNA Wrestling Plus" YouTube channel, where users could rent pay-per-views and documentaries previously released on DVD.[3]

In early 2017, current parent company Anthem Sports & Entertainment (which acquired and rebranded the promotion as Impact Wrestling that same year) launched "Total Access TNA" (later known as Total Access Impact) in the United Kingdom after broadcaster Challenge's contract had expired.[4]

On October 10, 2017, the promotion launched the Global Wrestling Network (GWN). The streaming service featured 1,000 hours of content from the TNA / Impact Wrestling library, as well as content from the sibling Fight Network, Canadian promotion Border City Wrestling, and Wrestling at the Chase among others.[5][6][7][8][9][10][11]

On August 14, 2018 Jeff Jarrett and his company, Global Force Entertainment, announced that it had filed a lawsuit against Anthem in the District Court of Tennessee for copyright infringement over the rights. Jarrett owned all properties related to Global Force Wrestling (GFW) since its creation in 2014; in-spite of GFW's brief merger with, and subsequent rebrand of, Impact Wrestling as GFW in 2017. Had the lawsuit by Jarrett been successful, Impact would need to immediately suspend the operations of GWN.[12][13]

Launch

[edit]

On April 28, 2019, during its Rebellion pay-per-view, Impact Wrestling announced the launch of Impact Plus, a brand new streaming service which would replace the Global Wrestling Network.[14]

On August 30, 2019, Impact announced that an Impact Plus subscription package would be available on FITE TV.[15]

Following the announcement of Impact Wrestling reverting back to the Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling brand, the company announced on December 7, 2023 that Impact Plus would be relaunched as TNA+, and will be distributed by Endeavor Streaming starting January 5, 2024.[16][17]

A revamped app, powered by Endeavor Streaming through a multi-year , officially debuted on January 5, 2024, just ahead of TNA's Hard to Kill event. Owned and operated by , TNA+ emphasizes global accessibility, with subscription tiers as of March 2025 including a monthly plan at $9.99, annual plan at $159.99, seasonal pass at $49.99 for three months, and a free tier offering limited access to archived content and a 24/7 channel; occasional promotional offers are available for new users. The platform has evolved to include exclusive content such as footage, wrestler interviews, and to live events. As of November 2025, TNA+ continues to expand through international licensing deals, such as a multi-year agreement with Claro Sports for distribution of TNA content in and starting January 2026, ensuring broader reach for TNA's programming.

History

Predecessors

The evolution of TNA Wrestling's digital distribution began with the launch of the TNA Video Vault in 2009, an early video-on-demand service that provided subscribers access to over 200 hours of archived content, including pay-per-view events from 2004 onward and specialty features previously available only on DVD. Offered exclusively through the dedicated website www.TNAVideoVault.com, the platform allowed users to stream full events or individual matches for a pay-per-view fee of $3.99 or via monthly ($7.99) and annual ($49.99) subscriptions, marking TNA's initial foray into online streaming to broaden access beyond physical media. In 2010, the service rebranded as TNA On Demand, expanding distribution through third-party platforms such as Xbox Live Video Marketplace, , and to reach a wider audience via gaming consoles and mobile devices. This iteration focused on a growing of pay-per-views, best-of compilations, and exclusive , with partnerships enabling on-demand purchases and rentals of TNA's 2008 and later events, though availability was fragmented across ecosystems without a unified app. The platform operated until early 2013, when technological constraints and shifting consumer preferences toward integrated streaming apps led to its discontinuation. Anthem Sports, which acquired TNA (rebranded as Impact Wrestling) in 2017, introduced the Global Wrestling Network (GWN) later that year as a more ambitious streaming service, offering 24/7 access to TNA's extensive archives alongside content from other promotions like Global Force Wrestling. Available initially on iOS and Android apps with plans for Roku, Xbox, Amazon Fire TV, and smart TVs, GWN emphasized classic matches, live events, and original programming for a $9.99 monthly fee, positioning it as a direct competitor to services like the WWE Network. However, legal disputes with Global Force Wrestling owner Jeff Jarrett over naming rights resulted in GWN's shutdown on May 1, 2019. These predecessors laid the groundwork for TNA's streaming ambitions by transitioning from DVD-centric distribution to digital access, but faced challenges including platform silos, limited device compatibility, and legal hurdles amid the rise of and app-based viewing in the . The cumulative experiences with fragmented delivery and ultimately informed the development of a centralized platform, culminating in the 2024 rebranding to TNA+.

Launch

Impact Plus, the direct successor to the (GWN), officially launched on May 1, 2019, as a subscription-based video-on-demand service dedicated to Impact Wrestling content. Fully owned and operated by , the parent company of Impact Wrestling, the service debuted with a monthly subscription price of $7.99, alongside an annual option at $71.99 and a 30-day free trial for new users. At launch, Impact Plus offered an extensive initial library exceeding 3,000 hours of archived content from the TNA and Impact Wrestling eras, encompassing full episodes, pay-per-view events, original series, reality shows, and documentaries featuring wrestling legends such as , , and . This library represented a seamless migration of assets from the discontinued GWN platform, which had previously provided similar access to Impact's historical programming since 2017. Early marketing efforts centered on integration with Impact Wrestling's live events and pay-per-views, including promotions offering three months of free access with purchases of major events like and Bound for Glory. The service's inaugural live monthly special, "Code Red," streamed on May 5, 2019, highlighting exclusive content to drive subscriptions. Initial availability spanned web browsers and select streaming apps, including iOS, Android, Apple TV, , and , enabling broad accessibility for fans. Despite these initiatives, Impact Plus encountered challenges in its first year, including modest subscriber uptake amid a competitive landscape dominated by larger platforms like the , which boasted over 1.4 million paid subscribers by late 2019. The service saw steady but limited growth, as it sought to carve out a niche for Impact's dedicated audience while navigating the broader shift toward consolidated streaming ecosystems.

Rebranding and Updates

On January 5, 2024, TNA Wrestling announced the rebranding of its streaming service from Impact Plus to , aligning it with the promotion's return to the TNA name following the rebrand of the company itself from Impact Wrestling, which took effect earlier that month at the event. This shift aimed to unify branding across TNA's operations and enhance fan accessibility to its content library. The rebranding included a significant technological upgrade through a multi-year with Endeavor Streaming, which overhauled the platform's to support higher streaming quality, reduced buffering, and improved global scalability for international audiences. Endeavor's expertise in sports streaming enabled features like multi-device compatibility and seamless integration across apps, addressing previous limitations in the older Impact Plus service. Post-rebrand, TNA+ introduced live streaming capabilities, notably for major events such as Bound for Glory 2025, which aired live on October 12, 2025, from the in , and became available on-demand for monthly subscribers shortly after. The service also expanded its on-demand library with additional TNA events, including classic and new weekly programming, to provide a more comprehensive archive for subscribers. In 2025, TNA+ further broadened its accessibility by launching on Smart TVs in June, allowing users to download the app directly on compatible models for free registration and viewing of select content. On June 17, 2025, TNA+ introduced a free tier, providing access to select content including episodes of TNA iMPACT! from April and May 2025, TNA Slammiversary 2007, and live previews of iMPACT!, with plans announced for a forthcoming 24/7 linear streaming channel. The platform also implemented pricing adjustments in March, introducing tiered options such as an annual plan reduced to £139.99 in the UK (from £224.99) and new monthly bundles to attract a wider . These updates contributed to substantial user base growth, with TNA+ reportedly doubling its subscribers over the year following the rebrand, driven by the enhanced platform stability, live event integrations, and efforts tied to TNA's overall refresh. The strategic alignment with TNA's rebranding helped position the service as a central hub for the promotion's global fanbase, fostering sustained engagement through improved content delivery and device support.

Current Content

TNA+ provides subscribers with full episodes of the flagship weekly program TNA iMPACT!, which airs live every Thursday at 8 p.m. ET and features matches involving the current TNA roster, ongoing storylines, and developments around championships such as the TNA World Championship and Knockouts World Championship. Complementing this are episodes of TNA Xplosion, a secondary show that premieres every Friday exclusively on TNA+ before becoming available for free on YouTube, showcasing additional matches and talent from the active roster. These core offerings emphasize contemporary TNA Wrestling productions, with new episodes added weekly to keep pace with the promotion's live events and narrative arcs. The platform offers live and on-demand access to major events, including flagship spectacles like Bound for Glory and . In 2025, highlights include Bound for Glory on October 12, which became available on-demand for monthly subscribers starting November 12, featuring high-stakes matches such as the World Title defense; in July, celebrating the promotion's anniversary with multi-person eliminations; and recent events such as on November 14 at in , and the upcoming on December 5 in . These PPVs highlight current stars like , , and in title bouts and feuds central to TNA's 2025 programming. Exclusive to TNA+, monthly live specials such as Against All Odds, Sacrifice, and Unbreakable provide additional event-driven content throughout the year, often featuring unique stipulations and roster showcases. Subscribers also gain access to behind-the-scenes footage, wrestler interviews, and promotional vignettes that delve into current storylines without extending into historical context. Content updates occur weekly, integrating recent seasons' episodes while older material is shifted to separate archives.

Archived and Removed Content

TNA+ preserves a substantial archive of TNA and Impact Wrestling material, encompassing classic episodes of the flagship Impact Wrestling program and a complete catalog of events dating back to the promotion's founding in 2002, with recent events from 2024 and 2025 added to the on-demand library after an initial period. This historical repository enables subscribers to revisit pivotal moments, such as the weekly NWA-TNA from the early and monthly specials that defined the company's growth. TNA-specific specials, including anniversary shows and themed events, are also integrated into the library for comprehensive access. The service features select integrations from the TNA Video Vault, highlighting classic wrestling content like early 2000s pay-per-views, with representative examples including the inaugural event in 2004 and subsequent installments in the series. These archives emphasize foundational rivalries and matches that shaped TNA's identity during its formative years. Upon its 2019 launch as Impact Plus, the platform initially incorporated content from independent promotions such as DEFY Wrestling, (CZW), and Urban Wrestling Entertainment (UWE), spanning events from 2019 to 2022; however, this non-TNA material was discontinued following the expiration of licensing agreements. Examples of removed indie promotions include DEFY's events and CZW's extreme rules spectacles, which were delisted to streamline the focus on core TNA holdings. Archival content on TNA+ is organized thematically, with sections dedicated to eras (e.g., NWA-TNA origins and Spike TV period) and event types (e.g., pay-per-views versus weekly episodes), facilitating navigation through the promotion's timeline. Following the 2023 rebrand from Impact Plus to TNA+, the service undertook efforts to restore and enhance accessibility of pre-2015 episodes previously affected by broadcasting disputes, ensuring fuller integration of the historical catalog.

This infrastructure facilitates performance optimizations, including buffering minimization through adaptive playback and integration with TNA's event schedules for easy navigation to live and archived content. A built-in search functionality allows users to locate specific events and episodes efficiently. From its initial launch in 2019 as an on-demand service, TNA+ has seen significant upgrades in streaming quality following the 2024 partnership with Endeavor Streaming.

The paid subscription structure includes a monthly plan at $9.99 USD, which grants unlimited access to the full on-demand content library, new episodes of TNA iMPACT! on Thursdays, Xplosion on Fridays, and eight exclusive live specials annually, but excludes live access to the four major (PPV) events; monthly subscribers receive on-demand access to major PPV events approximately one week after live airing. Individual PPVs are available for $39.99 USD each, providing 30-day access without auto-renewal. Originally launched as Impact Plus on May 1, 2019, with introductory pricing of $7.99 USD monthly and $71.99 annually, including a 30-day free trial, the service saw monthly rates increase to $9.99 USD upon its to TNA+ in , alongside tiered options for library access and specials at $99.99 annually before further adjustments. The 2024 rebrand aligned pricing with enhanced live event integration, while 2025 updates focused on affordability, introducing the seasonal pass and slashing the annual rate to broaden accessibility amid the TNA efforts. Promotions in 2025, such as a 10% discount on annual subscriptions using code GLORY25 for Bound for Glory in October, have encouraged upgrades during key events. Bundling options occasionally integrate TNA+ subscriptions with merchandise or live event perks, such as free three-month access bundled with certain PPV purchases or discounted tickets for holders, adding value for dedicated fans. All paid tiers provide unlimited, ad-free streaming of the extensive library exceeding thousands of hours, with simultaneous streaming limited to devices linked to a single account; no free trial is currently offered for paid plans, but cancellations can be processed anytime via the account portal, maintaining access through the billing period's end.
